Real Madrid have moved swiftly to silence growing speculation linking the club with Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez, insisting there is no truth to reports suggesting a summer move is in the works.

The Spanish giants released an official statement after weeks of transfer rumours claimed the Argentine international had emerged as a priority target at the Santiago Bernabéu. The speculation gathered momentum following reports that Fernandez could be open to a new challenge away from Stamford Bridge.
Despite the widespread claims, Real Madrid have categorically denied making any approach for the midfielder, maintaining that neither the club nor its representatives have held discussions with Chelsea over a possible transfer.
Los Blancos stressed that they have not attempted either directly or indirectly to sign the 25-year-old and have no intention of pursuing a deal during the current transfer window.
The club also used the opportunity to reaffirm its respect for both Fernandez and Chelsea, noting the strong relationship that exists between the two clubs while distancing itself from what it described as unfounded reports.
Part of the statement read:
“Real Madrid wishes to express its utmost respect for Enzo Fernandez, a great footballer whose career and quality are widely known, as well as for Chelsea FC, a club with which it maintains an excellent institutional relationship.”
According to the Spanish club, the unusual decision to issue a public clarification became necessary because the persistent rumours were creating confusion among supporters and unfairly dragging both clubs and the player into baseless transfer speculation.
By firmly rejecting the reports, Real Madrid have made it clear that Fernandez is not part of their plans, bringing an end—at least for now—to one of the biggest transfer stories involving the Chelsea midfielder this summer.
