“First to do no dey pain” — Reactions as Burna Boy’s old post dissing Davido resurfaces amidst ‘new cat’ tag.
In response to Burna Boy’s flashback diss tweet coming to light amid accusations that he is a new cat, internet users rally around Afrobeat musician Davido Adeleke.
It is noted that O.B.O referred to the self-described African Giant and other top-rated vocalists in the entertainment sector as a “new cat” during a recent interview.
However, internet users discovered a 2018 Snapchat message by Burna Boy where he said that Davido cannot sing but exists because his father has the money to purchase him a job in the entertainment business.
In his words, “You cannot play football, everybody knows you cannot play football and you are an embarrassment to the team But your daddy bought the football team.”
Meanwhile, The retro-diss has subsequently caused controversy among fans of both performers; while some defended it as fair play, others denounced it as unwarranted.
