Online users have come upon an old video of Nigerian artist Habeeb Okikiola, commonly known as Portable, participating in the #EndSARS rally two years ago.

The Zazuu star was among hundreds of Nigerians who took to the streets to protest police harassment and abuse.

On October 20, 2022, the day of the EndSARS and Lekki shooting commemoration, the old clip that was published via Instagram Story generated responses from Nigerians who found it amusing because at the time he was still an upcoming artist.

As he declared that he is not engaged cyber fraud (Yahoo Yahoo), Portable discussed the necessity for authorities to cease stereotyping adolescents.

The musician held a placard which read; ‘End SARS’, ‘End Police Brutality’, ‘Soro Were’, ‘Soro Soke.’

Meanwhile, Nigerian youths on Thursday, assembled at the Lekki Tollgate in Lagos State to mark the second anniversary of the #EndSARS protests and #LekkiMassacre.

Ace rapper, Falz and comic actor, Mr. Macaroni joined the memorial procession which started around 9 am on October 20, 2022.

The EndSARS protests which shook the world in October 2020, saw thousands of young Nigerians marching through major cities in Nigeria over two weeks.

Youths were calling for an end to years of police brutality, assault and extrajudicial killings.

At the procession on Thursday, coffins were carried to honour the memory of the unarmed protesters who were shot and killed by security personnel on October 20, 2020, at the Lekki Tollgate when they were singing the national anthem and waving Nigeria’s flag.

Videos which surfaced online shows the public figures and a large crowd marching through the streets of Lagos despite heavy police presence.
