Rapper Ruggedman discloses that he is now a skit maker
Veteran rapper Ruggedman, whose real name is Michael Ugochukwu Steven, has diversified his creative pursuits by adding skit-making to his portfolio.
He revealed that unbeknownst to many, he actually began his career as an actor, playing minor roles in some movies before gaining fame as a rapper.
The ‘Wetin Dey’ crooner, who has been relatively absent from the music scene in recent years, shared this information during a recent interview with Hip TV. By exploring skit-making, Ruggedman continues to showcase his versatility and passion for different forms of artistry.
Ruggedman said, “I created a character called ‘Mazi Kalu.’ He is Igbo, old man, has problems but at the same time, sometimes tries to solve problems.
“And ofcourse, I have been doing some skits here and there. But now, I have decided to get serious with the ‘Mazi Kalu’ character. So, it’s a character that is gonna be out there. There will be funny ones but of course, it’s still gonna teach you things.”
