A video making its round shows Protesters singing Burna Boy’s 2018 smash hit, “Ye”.
A Viral video showed the moment when George Floyd, an African American man was arrested by Police Officers in Minneapolis Minnesota, US. During the arrest, he was pinned by a police officer who had his knee to George’s neck to subdue.
Despite pleads from George that he couldn’t breathe, the officer had him on the ground for eight minutes. George was later pronounced dead and the situation caused a backlash from the black community and celebrities.
His death caused protests all across the US some of which lead to riots. As seen in the video below, protesters can be seen singing Burna Boy’s ‘Ye’ while they march with plaques reading “Black Lives Matters”.
