Premier League Announces 2025/26 Fixtures Release Date

The Premier League has officially confirmed the date for the release of the 2025/26 season fixtures. According to the announcement, the complete list of 380 matches will be unveiled on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, via the league’s official website.

With the dates now set, football fans across the world can begin the countdown to another exciting Premier League campaign. The season is scheduled to kick off on Saturday, August 16, 2025, promising another round of thrilling encounters among England’s top clubs.

As part of the calendar adjustments, the final matchday of the season will take place on Sunday, May 24, 2026. The league aims to conclude the season ahead of the FIFA 2026 World Cup call-up period, ensuring a smooth transition for players expected to represent their national teams at the global tournament.

Meanwhile, the structure of the upcoming season has been designed to provide more rest time for players, especially during the traditionally hectic Christmas and New Year period. The 2025/26 season will feature 33 weekends of fixtures and five midweek match rounds, allowing for a more balanced schedule.

This decision comes in response to concerns over player fatigue and fixture congestion in previous seasons. With a more structured approach, the league seeks to maintain a high level of competition while prioritizing player welfare.

Football enthusiasts can expect an action-packed season as clubs prepare to battle for the prestigious Premier League title, European spots, and survival in the top flight.
