Portable shares old chat with Olamide, begs for continued support

Nigerian singer and street-pop sensation Portable has once again called for support from YBNL boss Olamide, sharing a 2023 conversation where he expressed dissatisfaction with what he believes is Olamide’s abandonment after introducing him to the music industry.
In the post shared on social media, Portable uploaded a screenshot of the conversation, where he reaffirmed his loyalty to Olamide while pleading for continued support.
He captioned the message, saying, “Bado na baba. Make him dey support me dey go, na him bring me. God bless Olamide Bado. Make my helper no stop to dey help me.”
This marks another chapter in Portable’s ongoing public disputes, which have included recent outbursts accusing Olamide of using Asake to undermine his career. Portable’s plea for help reflects his frustration with the situation, despite having been brought into the music scene under Olamide’s mentorship.
As the drama unfolds, fans and observers continue to follow the tension between the two, questioning whether the relationship will remain cordial or evolve into something more divisive.
In other news, Portable has called out Afrobeats superstar Davido, accusing him of insincerity and leading a “fake life.”
The dramatic revelation surfaced through a video posted by Portable on the social media platform X, sparking widespread reactions.
In the video, Portable alleged that Davido once advised him against signing with Sony Music, instead recommending Empire Records. However, Portable claimed he later discovered that Davido himself is signed to Sony Music and receiving substantial payments from the label.
“I trusted him when he said I shouldn’t go to Sony, only for me to find out that Davido is collecting big money from them,” Portable lamented in the video.
