Family of American Rapper, pop smoke has released a statement concerning his death.
Pop smoke who was found dead on February 19 at exactly 04:30 AM was 20 years old at the time of his death. According to the autopsy report, the cause of death was a gunshot to his torso.
His death was said was to be a result of a robbery gone wrong.
According to the Family’s statement, they appreciated everybody who reached out to them during this tragic period and asked that there be responsible reporting on the death of Pop Smoke.
“The family of Bashar ‘Pop Smoke’ Jackson would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone for your support,” the Jackson family writes.
“Every prayer, call, and acts of kindness is deeply appreciated as we mourn the loss of our son, brother, and friend. Brooklyn knew him as Bashar, He was educated and nurtured in Brooklyn and his rise to fame all developed from the place he proudly represented. Within the last year, his extraordinary gifts were revealed to the world: introducing Pop Smoke.

Investigations are still ongoing on what happened and it is being treated as a gang-related attack and not a robbery gone wrong as initially reported.
