Odumodublvck calls on the Headies to create a best group category
Nigerian hip-hop artist Odumodublvck has called on the Headies to introduce a “Best Group” category, speaking boldly ahead of his forthcoming collaborative album with the Anti-World Gangstars.
Since his breakthrough into the mainstream in 2023, following years of impressive underground work, Odumodublvck has swiftly risen to commercial success with his music, revitalizing the commercial appeal of Nigerian hip-hop.
Following the release of his dynamic mixtape ‘Eziokwu,’ Odumodublvck clinched the awards for Best Rap Song with ‘Declan Rice‘ and Rookie of the Year at the 2023 Headies Awards.
Unwilling to rest on his laurels, the rapper continues to push forward, teasing the imminent release of a collaborative album with his Abuja-based creative collective, the Anti-World Gangsters.
In anticipation of the collaborative project’s debut in 2024, Odumodublvck has publicly urged the Headies to recognize group efforts by introducing a dedicated category. The rapper conveyed his message directly to the President of the Headies, Ayo Animashahun, via his social media platform.
