Odumodublvck stirs debate with bold take on Davido’s upcoming album ‘5ive’

Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has set social media abuzz with his latest remark about Davido’s highly anticipated album, 5ive.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on March 27, 2025, Odumodublvck shared his thoughts on the project while tagging Davido directly.
While he praised Davido’s artistic vision, he also playfully suggested that 5ive would have been a better fit for Kcee and E-Money’s Five Star Music label rather than being released under Davido’s 30BG. He ended his post with a cryptic, “I rest my case.”
His comment quickly went viral, adding even more anticipation for the album, which is set for release on April 18, 2025. 5ive boasts an impressive lineup of Omah Lay, Chris Brown, Chike, and Odumodublvck himself, with production from heavyweights like DJ Maphorisa.
With the Afrobeats world already eager for Davido’s next big move, Odumodublvck’s remark has only fueled the conversation, making 5ive one of the most talked-about projects of the year.

.@davido I TRUST YOUR VISION AND ALL
BUT THIS ALBUM IS NOT MEANT TO BE RELEASED UNDER 30BG 😔

While fans initially speculated about the meaning behind the title, a recent Twitch session with the 30BG boss provided some insight. When asked about the significance of 5ive, Davido simply responded, “The fifth album.”
However, a deeper look suggests that 5ive might represent more than just the number of projects under his belt. The album seems to mark a bold shift in his musical journey, signaling a new era in his career.
