Love Nwantiti- Ckay
The most ‘Shazamed’ music in the world in 2021 was a remix of Ckay’s 2019 smash song, ‘Love Nwantiti.’ The song broke numerous records in various countries and was remixed by a variety of artists. Shazam has recorded over 12.8 million hits for the song.
Essence- Wizkid
Shazam also uploaded a photo of Wizkid in 2021 after his smash song Essence featuring Tems became the most Shazamed song in the United States. The Grammy nominated song was released in 2020 and has received over 3 million Shazam hits.
Buga- Kizz Daniel ft Tekno
On May 19, 2022, Shazam posted a picture of Nigerian singer Kizz Daniel on their official Twitter account after his song titled ‘Buga’ became the most Shazamed song in the world.
Another Nigerian musician, Tekno was also featured in the song. The song was released in May of 2022 and has since been Shazamed over 800,000 times.

Calm Down- Rema
Rema’s 2022 hit song “Calm Down” skyrocketed to the number one position as it becomes the most shazamed song in France.
The top 200 most shazamed songs chart which was released in May 2022, saw ‘Calm Down’ make a groundbreaking appearance at the number one in France and also holds the number 15 position on the Global 200 most shazamed songs chart.
