Mohbad Once Attempted Suicide – Naira Marley
Naira Marley, from Marlian Music, recently disclosed a previously undisclosed incident where his former signee, Mohbad, had locked himself in an attempt to commit suicide. This revelation came during a virtual interview with former presidential spokesperson, Mr. Reno Omori, on Wednesday evening.
The circumstances surrounding the untimely death of Mohbad, a 27-year-old artist, on September 12, remain unclear, and Naira Marley has found himself connected to it, partly due to an incident where Mohbad, during a live video, mentioned that if anything happened to him, Naira Marley and Marlian Music should be held responsible.
In the interview with Omokri, Naira Marley expressed confusion about why his name was mentioned in the video.
He explained that he had spoken with Mohbad after the video incident, prompted by a distress call from Mohbad’s girlfriend, who reported that Mohbad had locked himself in the toilet with the intention of self-harm.
Naira Marley even shared a video of the conversation he had with Mohbad on that day during the live interview.
‘So, I called him from there and recorded the conversation, asking him: “Why did you want to kill yourself? You are a king, if your family is stressing you out [because this time, he was with his family and all his family was around him] just tell them to chill, you can do what you want to do, do not stress yourself, if you kill yourself now, what do you want people to say.” I was so concerned so I called him to try to give him rest of mind’.

In addition, According to the Nigeria Police Force, an autopsy was been performed on Mohbad, and the results will be available soon.
