Asake reflects on life’s journey, celebrates resilience on 29th birthday.
Nigerian Afro-fuji artist Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, is jubilantly celebrating his 29th birthday today, January 13, 2024.
He wrote an emotional letter to his fans on Instagram, thanking them for their support and acknowledging the obstacles that still lie ahead.
Asake posted a photo of himself standing next to a worn-out bicycle with a flat tire, symbolizing the hurdles faced on the resilient journey of life. In a caption accompanying the post, he wrote, “Today, I honor the journey I’ve been on and the journey yet to come. Happy birthday to a resilient soul.”
Following his self-celebration post and his open disclosure of his troubles on Instagram, Asake received a deluge of birthday greetings from fans and well-wishers in the comment section.

Speaking in an interview with Billboard’s Catrise J, Sarz revealed that he initially sent the record to Gunna, who quickly embraced it, recognizing the perfect blend of hip-hop, afrobeats, and funk pop.
