‘I’m catching cold o’ I am not exactly catching cold, this is just a line from Singer Tunde Ednut’s break out single, Catching cold.
Tunde Ednut was born in the northern part of the country, Katstina precisely on January 20, decades ago to a family of 5. The singer who hails from Kogi state is the first son and second child of the family. He got the name Ednut by spelling Tunde backwards.
Tunde began his University education in Nigeria at the University of Lagos before proceeding to Kingsland University of London where he studied Graphics Arts.
While abroad, Tunde Ednut delved into the entertainment industry as a comedian and was once one of the most popular stand-up acts in the UK but on his return to Nigeria he began pursuing a career in music.
He’s made some hits which include ‘Catching Cold’, ‘Baby Boo’, ‘Jingle Bell Bell’ and the likes.
The singer hasn’t necessarily kept a clean slate tho.. He once got into a theft scandal after music producer, Shizzy accused him of ‘stealing’ his beat for recently released single, ‘Kosowo’ and a few years back he had a fallout with a fellow singer, YQ.
