Mikel Arteta nears Jurgen Klopp record after fourth Premier League Manager of the Month award.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has been named Premier League Manager of the Month for March and is now just one behind Jurgen Klopp’s single-season record of five awards.
The Gunners had a successful month in March, and earlier on Friday, winger Bukayo Saka was named the division’s Player of the Month.
For this month’s award, Arteta competed against Pep Guardiola, Unai Emery, and Roberto De Zerbi, but the Spaniard triumphed following an unblemished month that saw four victories and 14 goals scored across four games.
Arteta has won the award three times in the last four months, with Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag snapping his streak last month.

After winning his first in August, Arteta now has four Manager of the Month honours to his name this year. He is currently just one behind Klopp’s record of five, which he set in 2019–20.
It is uncertain whether he will win the title in April because Arsenal has a demanding stretch of six games scheduled for the month.
After games against Liverpool, West Ham, and Southampton, Arsenal play Leeds on Saturday. Arteta’s team closes off the month with a trip to the Etihad to play Manchester City and a trip to London rivals Chelsea.
