Mayorkun reveals why he left Twitter

Nigerian Afrobeat singer Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, known professionally as Mayorkun, revealed why he stopped using Twitter.

The ‘Certified Loner‘ singer, who is more active on other social media sites, engaged in a Q&A with followers on Snapchat.

He admitted that the reason fans don’t see him tweet as frequently as they once did is because he dislikes the toxicity which is what the social networking service is known for.

This was said by Mayorkun in response to a fan who asked about his disappearance on Twitter.

“I don’t thrive on toxicity… I guess,” the singer wrote.

A recent check on his Twitter handle @Mayorkun revealed that the last post he sent was on June 5th, 2023.

    Thank You London! ❤️

In other news, A Twitter influencer revealed that musician Fireboy DML has to leave YBNL since it is difficult for two artists on the same label to thrive at the same time.

According to the influencer, YBNL signee Asake currently has the upper hand in the label, and the label has switched its focus away from Fireboy.

She believes it is impossible for two artists to thrive at the same record firm at the same time, and advises Fireboy to either leave YBNL or wait till they cease investing in Asake.

She wrote, ‘Me I never see two artistes flourishing in the same label at the same time shaFireboy should leave YBNL peacefully, set up a team, collect a loan and invest in his career. Ybnl has given him all the things he needed or he should wait till they stop investing on Asake (sic)’.
