Why I don’t post Davido online – Mayorkun [Video]
Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Mayorkun has addressed rumors about a supposed fallout with his former record label boss, Davido. Speaking on an episode of the Tea with Tay podcast hosted by actor and show host Taymesan, Mayorkun clarified that there is no animosity between him and Davido.
Contrary to public speculation, Mayorkun emphasized that he shares one of the best relationships with the ‘Fall’ hitmaker.
He mentioned that he doesn’t discuss Davido online as frequently as some other entertainers do because their relationship is a private matter not meant for public consumption.
The Mayor of Lagos went on to explain that OBO understands his personality, and if there were ever any issues between them, the DMW boss knows how to address and resolve the situation. The clarification from Mayorkun dispels rumors of any tension or discord between the two artists.
Mayorkun said, “Contrary to what other people think, I have one of the best relationships with him [Davido] because… I feel like he knows me and understands the kind of person I am.
If I dey vex for am, he knows what to do. I am not that difficult of a human being, it’s just that I am not posting Davido everytime like my ‘best friend’ because the relationship is not for you.”
