Mayorkun let fans in on the secret of how long it took him to write his latest single, ‘Betty Butter”.
Mayorkun recently released Betty Butter featuring Davido and in a post, he made on Instagram, he revealed how long it took for the song to be perfect.
The singer in his video can be seen doing the studio recording for the song but doesn’t get the chorus right in the first few takes. He finally does it well after 201 takes.
Mayorkun captioning the video wrote,
HOW I RECORDED ‘BETTY BUTTER’ I recorded this song for almost 3 months.. cos I wanted that ‘perfection’ and ‘finesse’, I’m glad you all are loving it.
Recall that Mayorkun had announced before that he was planning on releasing his first official single for the year despite releasing “Geng”, “Of Lagos”, “Geng EP”.
When he announced he would be dropping a new song with Davido, people expected it would a song from Davido’s forthcoming album, “A Better Time”.
