The Versailles Court in France convicted popular Congolese musician Koffi Olomide to 18 months in prison on Monday, December 13, 2021.
According to The Standard, Koffi Olomide was sentenced to prison for holding four women against their will (his former dancers).
In 2019, the singer was found guilty of sexual assault and abduction of his dancers at the singer’s home in 2002 and 2006.
He was sentenced to pay each of the three women Sh1.2 million ($10,000).
He was, however, acquitted of the rape charge brought against him.
