According to The Standard, Koffi Olomide was sentenced to prison for holding four women against their will (his former dancers).

In 2019, the singer was found guilty of sexual assault and abduction of his dancers at the singer’s home in 2002 and 2006.

He was sentenced to pay each of the three women Sh1.2 million ($10,000).

He was, however, acquitted of the rape charge brought against him.

Because of the inconsistent evidence offered, the court found him not guilty of rape.

The ladies’ lawyers expressed dissatisfaction with the ruling after the rape charges were dismissed.

“Obviously they will be disappointed with the sexual assault verdicts because for them it was the most important thing,” he said.

The music star was reportedly deported from Kenya in 2016 after he was caught on camera assaulting a young lady.
