Nigeria Jagajaga and other throwback songs did so well during their time of release in tackling corruption and other government ills.
While we currently have very few artists who use their songs as a tool to tackle the government ill’s and corrupt acts, there were times where music was constantly used as a tool to ensure that the government deliver good governance to the people.
A worthy mention of this category is Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti who used his songs as a tool to battle the corrupt politicians and speak against the government ills.
While a lot of artists focused more on using their songs to make money and gain fame, others used their tracks to actively fight the ills in governance and political system.
