Iyanya breaks silence on Wizkid, Davido feud allegiance claims
Afrobeats singer Iyanya is putting rumors to rest and calling out fans for trying to stir drama where there’s none.
After being accused by an X user of “picking sides” in the ongoing Wizkid and Davido feud, Iyanya swiftly shut down the claims, stating he holds no grudges and has love for all his colleagues in the game.
“I don’t have an issue with any artiste,” he tweeted. “I played Wizkid’s Made In Lagos and Morayo the same way I play every other artiste’s songs.”
The Sexy Mama crooner, who’s worked with both Wizkid and Davido in the past, emphasised that he listens to all music to stay tapped into the sound of the culture.
He also mentioned partying with Burna Boy recently and vibing to new music sent to him by his longtime associate Ubi Franklin.
“I dey play all and I tell you, me no get enemy o,” he added. “Make una stop this friend or no friend. Na una fans dey try dey push agenda wey no dey.”
Iyanya’s honest take has been widely praised as a refreshing reminder of unity in the often competitive Nigerian music industry.
