Nigerian singer, Skales has opened up on the issue between him and his wife that occurred after his mother’s death.
Recall that in 2022, Mp3bullet.ng reported that hinted at the fact that he and his wife, Precious a.k.a Hasanity are having a crisis in their marriage after he called her out on Instagram.
Hassanity had expressed her condolences for the death of her late mother-in-law.
Taking to her Instagram page, she shared a video of her mother-in-law, expressing tender words of farewell, further saying she misses her.
Shortly after, Skales attacked Hasanity via his Instagram story, lashing out at his wife Precious for feigning grief at his mother’s passing rather than expressing concern in person.
He continued by telling her to delete the emotional post and to quit acting in ways that would attract attention on social media.
He later dropped a diss track where he referred to her as a heartless devil. A few months later, Skales took to Instagram to apologize for his actions and a few days later announced that they welcomed their first child.
In an interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, Skales was questioned on why he called out his wife publicly.
In response, the singer who didn’t want to go into details about their martial issues said his public criticism was a combination of misunderstanding, anger and grief.
He said that he was going through a lot at time having just lost his mother and implied his wife did something that fuelled his anger.

“This is like some real deep family stuff, so there are some things I am not going to say. I will just say for lack of a better word, it was a misunderstanding and it was wrong timing. I won’t like to say I was totally wrong, obviously, there is no manner of grief, whatever the person did, also added more fuel to the anger and that why I came like that. That’s not something I am proud of because now I just look back and like damn, who was that guy. A lot of people know that I am always lowkey even when somebody ofends me, I don’t say anything, I just let it go. But this one touched me because it was my mom, so I was just really angry…”
