‘Britain’s Got Talent’ is enthralled by Innocent Masuku’s outstanding performance.
Representing South Africa on the illustrious stage of ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ (BGT), Nkululeko Innocent Masuku, hailing from Secunda, astounded judges and audiences alike with his operatic prowess.
Following the footsteps of Musa Motha, who graced the competition last year, Masuku emerged as a standout contestant on season 17 of the beloved British talent show.
Residing in London, England, the 33-year-old opera singer delivered a mesmerizing rendition of Lucio Dalla’s “Casuro,” showcasing his remarkable vocal range and emotive delivery.
Masuku’s performance garnered a resounding standing ovation from all four judges and the enthralled crowd.
Judge Amanda Holden lauded Masuku as “undoubtedly the finest opera singer” ever witnessed on the BGT stage, while Bruno Tonioli praised his talent as “truly exceptional.” Alesha Dixon described his performance as “breathtaking and transcendent,” with Simon Cowell echoing her sentiments, labeling it “absolutely wonderful.”
Masuku is receiving a lot of support from his home country despite not receiving the golden buzzer, which would have advanced them directly to the next round of live performances.
Minister of Sports, Arts and Culture Zizi Kodwa wished him luck in the competition, saying, “South African creatives continue to raise the country’s flag high around the world. I congratulate Innocent Masuku on his sterling performance in Britain’s Got Talent. All the best as you proceed in the competition!”
