Why I wish I never learned to roll weed – Ice Prince
Veteran Nigerian rapper Ice Prince has revealed some of the most personal regrets of his life in a heartfelt conversation on the Konnected Minds podcast.
The “Oleku” crooner shared that learning to roll cannabis is one decision he wishes he could take back, as it significantly increased his frequency of smoking.
“One of the worst things for me that I wish I could unlearn was learning how to roll cannabis. If I never learnt it, I’d probably smoke in moderation. But now, I do it when I wake up or in the studio—I don’t even let anyone roll for me.”
He clarified that he doesn’t use hard drugs or mix substances, but the habit of rolling himself has made it harder to control his cannabis use.

Beyond substance use, Ice Prince reflected on mistakes in his romantic life, admitting he has broken hearts and lost valuable relationships due to poor choices.
“I have messed up in some relationships that I wish I could turn back the hands of time. I’ve lost some amazing angels because of stupid stuff—following girls I shouldn’t have followed back, replying to messages I shouldn’t have.”
He expressed a mature understanding of his flaws, emphasizing growth through reflection:
“As you grow older, you learn to live with the regrets. You try to learn from them and not repeat them.”
