Nigerian singer Spyro has set social media buzzing after confidently declaring that he is already financially secure even if he never records another song.
Speaking during an interview with Adesope Shopsydoo, the “Who’s Your Guy?” hitmaker explained that many fans have the wrong impression about his success simply because he doesn’t live loudly or chase industry popularity.
Spyro revealed that while people often assume artists rely heavily on concerts and public events to make money, his own earnings flow from a completely different stream: corporate performances.
According to him, top financial institutions and business moguls regularly book him for exclusive shows. He listed names like Zenith Bank, UBA, and companies linked to Tony Elumelu as frequent clients, an unusual but lucrative niche many artists never tap into.
The singer also emphasized that his financial discipline plays a major role in where he stands today, noting that he immediately reinvests every payment he receives.
In his words:
“If I stop making music today, I am made already. A lot of people don’t know this because I don’t come out to brag. I don’t do industry shows; I do corporate shows. It’s Zenith Bank, UBA, Tony Elumelu, etc. that book me. Anytime money enters my account, I invest it immediately.
I am one of the most blessed artistes. If you count 20 rich and blessed artistes today, my name will be among them,” Spyro bragged.
His remarks have generated mixed reactions. While some listeners applauded his focus, money management, and ability to stay grounded, others felt his declaration bordered on unnecessary boasting.
Still, one thing is clear: Spyro is carving his own lane, and he’s doing it with the kind of confidence that keeps people talking.
