    How Nigerian Stars Lost All Nominations At The 2024 Grammys

    All Nigerian singers (stars) nominated for different categories at the 2024 Grammy Awards ceremony, lost to their respective counterparts.

    It was a sad reality for the Nigerian music stars, as some had bagged more than one nomination, intending to hoist the Nigerian flag at the awards ceremony held in Los Angeles.

    Burna Boy who was nominated in four different categories which include, Best Global Performance with Alone,  Best African Music Performance, Best Melodic Rap Performance with Sittin On Top Of The World and Global Music Album with I Told Them project lost all four respectively.

    Davido, who doubles as a first-time nominator bagged three nominations to lose all. He lost the Best African Music category to Tyla’s ‘Water‘, Best Global Music Performance to ‘Pashto’ by Béla Fleck, Edgar Meyer & Zakir Hussain Featuring Rakesh Chaurasia, and Best Global Album to Shakti‘s ‘The Moment’.

    Ayra Starr on the other hand alongside, Asake and Olamide also emerged as first-time nominators for the category of Best African Music Performance with Rush, and Amapiano, losing to Tyla’s Water as revealed above.

    Meanwhile, Tems lost ’ “Lift Me Up” nominated for the “Best Song Written for Visual Media” lost to Billie Eilish’s “What was I made for?”
