Headies Awards open entries for 2024 edition; call for submissions
The organizers of the highly anticipated Nigerian music awards show, the Headies, have officially opened submissions for the 2024 edition, marking the 17th consecutive year of the event.
This prestigious award platform, known for recognizing outstanding achievements in the Nigerian music industry, has called on eligible parties to submit their content for consideration.
The year in review for submissions is from April 1, 2023, to July 31, 2024. Only musical content released within this period will be eligible for nominations.
The Headies, established in 2006 by Hip Hop World Magazine, has become a significant event in the Nigerian music industry, celebrating excellence across various genres and categories.
The call for entries includes submissions for categories like Next Rated (which comes with a car gift), Rookie of the Year, Recording of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and more.
The announcement, made on Monday, August 26, 2024, via the Headies’ social media pages, specifies that submissions will be accepted through the official Headies Awards website until Friday, September 20, 2024.
Over the years, the Headies Awards have played a crucial role in propelling Nigerian stars like Wizkid, Burna Boy, Davido, Kizz Daniel, Rema, Mr Eazi, and many others to international fame.
