Harry Kane smashes another record! Bayern Munich talisman sets standard as highest-scoring English player in single Champions League campaign with goal at Bayer Leverkusen

Harry Kane etched his name in the history books as Bayern Munich cruised past Bayer Leverkusen with a 5-0 aggregate victory in the Champions League last-16.
The English striker delivered a stellar performance, scoring and providing an assist in Bayern’s 2-0 second-leg win on Tuesday night. With this feat, Kane became the first English player to net 10 goals in a single Champions League campaign. He also joined David Beckham as only the second Englishman to reach 50 goal contributions in the tournament.

Despite his decorated career, Kane has yet to lift a major trophy. However, his move from Tottenham to Bayern in the summer of 2023 has put him in prime position to change that. With 76 goals and 23 assists in just 81 appearances for the Bavarian giants, the England captain is proving to be a game-changer.
Now, Bayern Munich sets its sights on the Champions League quarter-finals, where they will face Inter next month. Kane’s red-hot form could be the key to their European ambitions.
