FOLA’s return to Ibadan was never going to feel like just another concert.
On Saturday, October 3, 2026, the singer brought his Homecoming Concert to Agodi Gardens, turning the venue into a celebration of his journey, his growing career and the city he continues to call home.

The excitement had been building well before the first performance. FOLA had announced that early-bird tickets were already sold out and more tickets were being made available, while encouraging fans to make the night a proper gathering of friends and family.
There was also something personal about the choice of location. After steadily building his profile across Nigeria, FOLA was returning to the city where his story began. That made the show feel less like a regular tour stop and more like a homecoming in every sense of the word.
The timing could hardly have been more fitting. With his next project, 9, scheduled for release on October 9, the concert arrived just days before another major moment in his career, giving fans a chance to celebrate what he has achieved while getting an early taste of what lies ahead.
And FOLA made sure the music started on a memorable note.
The singer opened his set in a green-and-white agbada, complete with a matching abetiaja cap and traditional beads. He began with an unreleased song, immediately giving the crowd something exclusive before moving into the records they already knew by heart.
Songs including “B4 B4” and “Very Soon“, and You soon took over the venue, with fans singing along and turning the performance into a celebration of FOLA’s recent rise.
B4 B4 came with particularly strong momentum. The Davido and Mayorkun collaboration featuring FOLA had previously spent four consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Official Nigeria Top 100, adding to a remarkable 2026 run in which FOLA had already picked up three chart-topping records.
That success was evident in the crowd. This was an audience that had followed the music closely and had come prepared to sing every word.

FOLA also brought some familiar faces along for the celebration.
Ayo Maff, TML Vibez, T.I Blaze, Bella Shmurda, Kidd Carder and Magixx all joined the night’s performances, creating a lively mix of some of the younger names currently making waves in Nigerian music.
Bella Shmurda’s appearance carried an added layer given their history. FOLA joined Bella’s Dangbana Republik in 2024, making his presence at the Ibadan show another link between the singer’s past and the career he is building today.
The night also attracted entertainment personalities including Yhemo Lee and Kamo State, adding to the buzz around the event.
But beyond the guest appearances and performances, it was FOLA’s connection with his fans that produced some of the biggest moments.
At one point, the singer brought a supporter on stage after discovering that the fan had tattooed FOLA’s face on his arm. Moved by the gesture, FOLA rewarded him with ₦500,000.
That was not the only example of the relationship between the singer and his supporters. Before the concert, FOLA had also responded to a fan who wanted to attend the show while visiting his father’s family home, offering to arrange an SUV so the fan and his family could attend the event in VIP style.
For FOLA, the Ibadan homecoming came at a moment when his career is moving at a serious pace. His chart success continues to grow, his new project is around the corner, and he heads into the upcoming Headies with 10 nominations, including a Next Rated nod.
So, while the Homecoming Concert was one night in Ibadan, it represented something much bigger for FOLA: a chance to return to where it all started and celebrate just how far the journey has taken him.
