Burna Boy Becomes First African Artist to Break Revenue Record With Single Tour

Grammy-winning Nigerian superstar Burna Boy has made history, becoming the first African artist to generate record-breaking revenue from a single concert tour.
According to Touring Data, the global tour monitoring platform, Burna Boy’s No Sign of Weakness tour is now officially the highest-grossing tour by an African artist in Oceania, raking in $3.1 million from nearly 31,000 tickets sold across four shows.
The milestone was achieved during the Sydney leg of the tour, where the artist performed at the Qudos Bank Arena, bringing in $1.117 million in revenue from a single show.
The No Sign of Weakness tour spanned 20 shows across three continents, including North America, Europe, and Oceania. In Australia alone, four sold-out performances drew a combined 30,946 fans and generated $3.1 million in total revenue.
This record underscores the global appeal of African artists, showing that Burna Boy and his contemporaries can consistently fill large arenas outside the continent. The success of the On The Low crooner’s tour further cements his status as one of Africa’s biggest musical exports and demonstrates the commercial power of Afrobeats on the world stage.
