See why we think Fireboy DML’S “Laughter, Tears, and Goosebumps” may be doing much better than Davido’s “A Good time” album.
Within the space of seven days, two mega albums were dropped by two great singers.
One was dropped by a veteran, well-known, and very influential singer in the music industry. Meanwhile, the other was dropped by a fast-rising singer, however, still new to the Nigerian music scene.
Despite these varying circumstances surrounding the various projects, we can’t help but notice obvious tendencies that a Novice is about to overtake an expert in the music race.
At this juncture, I present to you; Davido’s “A Good Time” album Vs Fireboy DML’s debut album; “Laughter, Tears, and Goosebumps”
First, of all, let’s proceed with Davido’s A Good Timeo’s album.

Davido- “A Good Time”
On the 22nd of November 2019, Davido released his second studio album; “A Good Time“, as reported by us at “Mp3bullet.ng”.
This highly publicized album features several artists such as; Chris Brown, Summer Walker, Gunna, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, Peruzzi, Popcaan, Zlatan, Yonda, Wurld, and Naira Marley.
Alongside these artists, the singer had top-notch producers and writers, like; Speroach Beatz, Tekno, Shizzi, Kiddominant, Seyi, and Adekunle Gold.
Aside from some new songs and collaborations, the song also contains two of his 2016 mega hits; “If” and “Fall”.
Seeing how massive this project is, you must be thinking ” this album must be going really great“. well, we can’t say it isn’t, but you might be up for a little surprise.
Alright, now let’s check out Fireboy’s album
Fireboy DML- Laughter, tears, and Goosebumps
This is the official debut album of the YBNL act.
Fireboy DML broke into the music scene massively with his hit single; “Jealous“. Following the huge success of the song, the young star dropped two other hits; “What if I say” and “King”.
Laughter tears and Goosebumps album was released on the 29th of November, yeah, just three days ago!
As soon as the 13-track album dropped, there was a massive explosion on twitter.
Downloads across various digital platforms went up rapidly, several beautiful reviews were made, even the fiercest music critics praised his writing and vocal skills.
you can recall that as reported by us at “Mp3bullet.ng”. even his label boss; “Olamide” had to bow down to his creativity, and publicly applauded him
The most amazing part of this album is that it doesn’t entail any feature, yet it is doing so great, just after a few days of release.
Laughter, Tears, and Goosebumps better than Davido’s “A Good Time?”
I’m sure that after reading up to this point, I don’t need to stress on the issue too much, for you to get my message.
Davido’s album was highly publicized and overhyped, an unfortunate disadvantage on the part on the album.
The album’s release was announced about a month to the actual date when it was dropped. We were anxious for it for way too long, and when it came we easily got tired of it.
Fireboy DML didn’t go shouting at the rooftop that he was going to be dropping his debut album, yet the album spoke for itself the moment it was released.
There’s this popular saying; “Too many cooks spoil the broth”. Perhaps, such is the case of the “A Good Time” album. Too many features, too many contributors, it lacked that unique Davido sound we were expecting. It seems everything was overdone and synthetic.
Finally, we all know numbers don’t lie. As of now, “Mp3bullet.ng” reports that Davido’s “A good time ” album has 11.1million streams on Audiomark. Fireboy’s album also has 11.1million streams!.
Hold on, Davido‘s album was released seven days before Fireboy‘s was released, yet they have the same number of streams, how come??!
Furthermore, I have nob doubt that there will be an overtaking, come tomorrow, or in a few hours’ time, let’s not even talk bout other digital platforms.
Having stated these facts, I’m sure you understand why I think Fireboy DML‘s first studio album is doing much greater than Davido‘s sophomore album.
However, note that this article is nothing but creative comparison, and definitely not a tool to instigate unhealthy competitions, especially among fans.
On that note, I beg to draw the curtains here, Thank you!!!
