Falz breaks silence on allegations by Verydarkman, confirms legal action
Nigerian rapper Falz has responded to claims made by social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, known as Verydarkman (VDM), regarding his alleged involvement in influencer Bobrisky’s jail term.
In an interview on the Afrobeats podcast with Adesope, Falz firmly denied the accusations, criticizing VDM for making baseless claims. He stated, “VDM set up a ring light and said nonsense” about him and his family.
Falz explained that he felt compelled to address the allegations, stating that such false accusations couldn’t be ignored. As a result, he decided to pursue legal action against Verydarkman, saying, “You can’t just sit back and watch someone spew falsehoods about you.”
Additionally, Falz shared that he contacted fellow music industry veteran Seun Kuti, who may have intervened.
This led to a call from VDM, but Falz noted that the activist continued making unfounded claims during the conversation.
This response follows a defamation lawsuit filed by Falz’s sister against VDM for spreading false information about her brother and their father. The controversy has reignited public interest, with many awaiting further updates on the legal case.
