Falz responds to alleged money laundering saga involving Bobrisky
Nigerian rapper Falz, whose real name is Folarin Falana, has issued a 24-hour ultimatum to social media personality Verydarkman, demanding a retraction of statements implicating him and his father, renowned lawyer Femi Falana, in a money laundering case involving socialite Bobrisky.
The controversy began on September 24, 2024, when Verydarkman shared an audio clip in which Bobrisky alleged that a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and his son helped him evade charges after paying ₦15 million to certain EFCC officers.
Bobrisky admitted to bribing EFCC officers to drop money laundering charges and claimed that, instead of serving a prison sentence for naira abuse, he was placed in a private apartment. Verydarkman insinuated that the SAN mentioned in the audio was Femi Falana, and the son was Falz.
In response, on September 25, 2024, Falz has now issued a 24-hour ultimatum to Verydarkman, demanding that he retract his statements and delete the post involving him and his father.
Additionally, Falz has requested a public apology within the given timeframe. The rapper’s response comes amid growing public interest in the case, which has sparked widespread debate on corruption and the workings of Nigeria’s justice system.
