Biza Blingza has just released a new project titled ‘Dutty O’Clock EP’. It is more than an Afrobeats EP; it is the story of an artist becoming stronger and more connected to who he is.

Biza Blingza, known to many as Dutty Blingz, steps into a new phase of his artistry with his April release, Dutty O’Clock, a 7-track Afrobeats EP that carries pride, confidence, and deep cultural identity. This project shows a more mature and focused Biza Blingza, combining the rawness of UK street life with the warmth of his Edo heritage in Nigeria.
The EP brings together Afrobeats, Afro-fusion, and street rhythms with the help of featured artists Papichino, Diamant-B, and Cyrus Tha Virus, creating a sound that feels both global and very personal.
The project opens with Ancestors, a track that sets a strong tone of reflection and pride. With its calm, soulful beat, the song feels like a quiet conversation with the past. It honours his roots, recognises the people who walked before him, and reminds listeners that knowing where you come from gives power. Even a young listener can understand the message; it’s about identity, guidance, and the courage to trust your own story.
    Love, Sweetness, and Street Charm

While Dutty O’Clock holds spiritual and street themes, it also makes space for softer moments, especially on the fan-favourite “Gimme Some Love.” This track brings romance into the EP with lyrics that feel playful, sweet, and easy for anyone to connect with. The lines:

“Only thing I want is your love, gimme some love, gimme some love, love,” show a simple desire, to feel wanted and cared for. It’s the kind of honesty that feels fresh in Afrobeats, especially combined with Biza Blingza’s smooth delivery. The song gets even more fun when he says: “This your ileke make me dey blow savings, body sweet like shawarma I’m craving, oya carry me commot.”

In just a few words, he paints a clear picture. He’s so drawn to this girl that even her waist beads (“ileke”) make him forget his budget. Comparing her sweetness to shawarma makes the moment playful and relatable, especially for teenagers who understand cravings and excitement. “Gimme Some Love” fits perfectly into the EP because it balances the harder, street-inspired tracks with something emotional and bright, showing that Biza Blingza is not afraid to explore every side of himself.

A Celebration of Growth and Identity

The EP is also shaped by some of Biza Blingza’s biggest influences: 50 Cent, G-Unit, and Cyrus Tha Virus. You can hear the confidence and street flavour from these artists in his voice and his flow. But Biza Blingza doesn’t try to sound like anyone. Instead, he mixes their energy with Edo rhythms, UK influence, and Afrobeats to create something original. His music carries experience, pain, strength, and joy all at once, making Dutty O’Clock feel like a full story instead of just a collection of songs.

Before this EP, Biza Blingza had already gained attention with tracks like Edo Boys, Area Boy, Dboi, Dutty World, Big Boys, and the atmospheric single Ancestors, which leads this new project. Each release has shown a different side of him, but Dutty O’Clock is the first time all the pieces truly come together: his background, his confidence, his sound, and his message.

Overall, Dutty O’Clock is a bold and emotional Afrobeats project that celebrates where Biza Blingza comes from, what he has survived, and who he is becoming. With songs that talk about culture, love, faith, power, and street hustle, the EP feels real and relatable, something both teenagers and adults can enjoy and learn from. It marks a new level for Biza Blingza and proves that he is ready for bigger stages, louder speakers, and a global audience.
