Mavin Record Boss, Don Jazzy has shut down rumors that his latest signee Ayra Starr a song of Wizkid.
Ayra Starr who was recently unveiled by Don Jazzy dropped her EP last night and it has been the latest talk on Twitter.
One of her songs, ‘Iya’ seemed to share similarities to Wizkid’s “Sweet One” and fans of the Nigerian Superstar pointed this out.
A particular fan took to Twitter to brag about it writing;
“What did I just hear??? This new Mavin girl sampled sweet one?? She no evn allow the song age small. Later dem go open their mouth say no be Wiz inspire them….we dey wait”

However, Don Jazzy was quick to shut down the idea as he responded saying;
“First things first Wiz is definitely an inspiration to every artist from Nigeria in the last decade and beyond but this particular sample is from The website Splice. Almost every new producer gets samples from there. Ayra’s song was recorded way before MIL came out too sir.”
