Don Jazzy regrets not signing Simi, Teni
Don Jazzy, a renowned music industry executive and talent manager, has expressed regret over not signing singers Teni and Simi.
The founder of Mavins Record recently revealed that he had the opportunity to sign Teni but decided not to, and now he regrets that decision.
Regarding Simi, Don Jazzy expressed his admiration for her talent and admitted that he wishes he had signed her to his record label.
Don Jazzy also mentioned that although he had the chance to sign Davido, he recognized Davido’s capability to handle his own affairs and decided not to pursue a deal with him.
He expressed interest in signing Wizkid, but Banky W, another artist and record label owner, signed Wizkid before he had the chance to do so. Similarly, Don Jazzy had intentions of signing Falz, but that plan did not come to fruition.
“I like Simi, I didn’t sign her. I wish did. I like Teni, but I didn’t sign her. I wish I did. I had the opportunity of signing Davido but I didn’t because I kind of figured that I would be fine. Wizkid, obviously. I couldn’t because Banky W got him first. That would have been amazing. Falz, I love this work. We almost had a deal”.
