As a pre-launch strategy for its new mobile-friendly disruptive games app, a theme Song Challenge for the empowerment of young talents has been released tagged “Oga Yanga”
The gaming company via her social media handles invited 60 seconds entries of original songs based on the theme of ‘Yanga’, which in local parlance means to show off or flaunt one’s style, aided by a massive push from celebrities such as Monalisa Stephen, Simi Dre and Nedu using their social media platforms to drive publicity, the challenge received many entries from talented songwriters, upcoming artistes, and music producers.
The winners were announced on the TikTok and Instagram pages. They were presented with their prizes during the unveiling ceremony of the brand ambassadors, Nedu and SimiDrey, who are exponentially fast-rising social influencers in the comic and acting segments of the entertainment industry respectively.
The new official theme song for the Yanga brand features the top three winners.
The Executive Chairman of YangaGames Technologies Limited, Mr. Derrick David Kentebe, said that the challenge was showing the brand’s affection for entertainment and empowering the youth by giving them a platform to showcase their talents and creativity.
