Popular Nigerian singer; Davido comes out to dissociate himself from viral COZA church advert video threatens to file lawsuit.,
Just yesterday, the internet was turned upside down due to a viral advertorial video that surfaced.
In the video, popular Afro-pop singer; Davido was seen endorsing the church’s forthcoming program alongside a little girl and her mother.
After it was uploaded by the church’s senior pastor; Biodun Fatoyinbo, many people reacted to it as they were puzzled about why Davido would do a church advert.
“Mp3bullet.ng” however reports that the singer took to his twitter to dissociate from the church and the video.
According to him, he did the video for the little girl who was a fan. Apparently, he didn’t know the church was going to “chop” it and turn it into an advert.
His exact words were;
“I’m writing to quickly disclaim the viral videos going around of me advertising COZA event to come up when I have to say I have NOTHING to do with the church!!!.
The fact that I did a quick video for a kid introduced as a fan just for her personal use and it was chopped up and used for an advert extremely disappoints me!!!.
I have never and most certainly not associated in any way with COZA church and have reached out to those responsible for this madness immediately!.
I will most certainly be proceeding further if you do not react that video immediately!!! A word is enough!!!”
The pastor of the church, however, took down the video which was posted across several social media platforms. This was a few minutes after the “Sweet in the middle” singer’s threat.
