Afrobeats superstar Davido has offered fans a new glimpse into his forthcoming album, ORIADE, revealing that the project will feature 13 songs designed to appeal to a wide range of listeners.

Speaking in a recent interview with American media platform Notion, the award-winning singer described the album as a carefully curated body of work that explores different emotions and experiences while staying true to his signature sound.
“13 songs, all bangers, and I can’t wait for you guys to hear it. There are songs for the ladies, songs for the guys, songs about struggle, and I can’t wait for it to drop,” Davido said of his upcoming album titled ‘ORIADE‘.
The singer had earlier announced that ORIADE will be released on July 31, 2026, unveiling the project through a cinematic teaser shared across his social media platforms. The announcement video featured Davido dressed in regal Yoruba attire, accompanied by a powerful Yoruba praise chant inspired by the album’s title.
Alongside the teaser, he wrote:
“The kingdom expands. Chosen long before the throne.”
The upcoming project will serve as Davido’s sixth studio album and his seventh major project since breaking into the Nigerian music scene over a decade ago. It also marks a departure from tradition, as ORIADE will contain 13 tracks, unlike his previous studio albums, which each featured 17 songs.
Ahead of the album’s release, Davido recently dropped his first single of 2026, I Know Who I Be, featuring South African artists JAZZWRLD and GL Ceejay. The record continues his exploration of South Africa’s emerging three-step sound, building on the musical direction he previously embraced on Nakupenda.
During the same interview, Davido also reflected on performing at the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup, expressing pride in representing both Nigeria and Africa despite the Super Eagles’ failure to qualify for the tournament.
“Nigeria didn’t make it to the World Cup, so I was there representing, and the energy was off the roof,” he said.
Davido performed at the FIFA World Cup Countdown Concert in Los Angeles, joining a growing list of African stars featured during the tournament.
Burna Boy performed the official World Cup anthem, Dai Dai, alongside Shakira at the opening ceremony in Mexico, while South African singer Tyla shared the stage with American rapper Future during the United States kick-off ceremony.
