Davido announces new single “Be There Still” ahead of his forthcoming studio album ‘5ive’

Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Davido is set to drop a brand-new single titled ‘Be There Still‘ on March 14, 2025, as the final release before his much-anticipated fifth studio album, ‘5ive.’
The award-winning singer announced on February 26 via his social media, exciting fans who are eagerly awaiting his upcoming body of work. His album ‘5ive’ is slated for release on April 18, 2025, and is expected to showcase his evolution as an artist.

Davido kicked off the year on a high note, securing his fifth Grammy nomination at the 67th Grammy Awards. He was nominated in the Best African Song Performance category for his contribution to Chris Brown’s hit single ‘Sensational.’
Ahead of his album drop, the ‘Unavailable‘ crooner has already treated fans to two singles—’Awuke,’ featuring Jamaican Dancehall star YG Marley, and ‘Funds,’ a collaboration with Chike and OdumoduBlvck.
Sharing his excitement about the upcoming project, Davido described the album as deeply personal and reflective of his journey.

The forthcoming album is also expected to feature an exciting collaboration with Nigerian singer Omah Lay, who recently revealed in an interview that their song is a perfect blend of both their unique styles.
Additionally, Adekunle Gold has hinted at a potential guest appearance, further fueling anticipation for the project.
With ‘5ive,’ Davido aims to build on the success of his record-breaking fourth album, ‘Timeless,’ which set streaming milestones and cemented his position as one of Africa’s biggest music exports. Fans are now counting down to March 14 for ‘Be There Still‘ and April 18 for the full album release.
