Nigerian superstar Davido has opened up about why he decided to get married, revealing that his wife, Chioma, was the driving force behind his decision.
Speaking on a recent edition of The Morning Hustle podcast, Davido expressed his deep love and commitment to Chioma, stating that without her, marriage would not have been in his plans.
“My wedding was the happiest day of my life,” he shared. “Chioma has been my girl for 12 years, so it was only right I married her. I was already famous before we met, but I wasn’t big then. If it wasn’t her [Chioma], I’m not getting married. There’s no point.”
Davido and Chioma tied the knot on June 25, 2024, in a grand ceremony held in Lagos, marking a significant moment in their long-standing relationship.

During an appearance on The Morning Hustle show, the globally celebrated musician opened up about his thoughts on drug use and the efforts of his foundation to address societal challenges.
“These days, I don’t count weed as a drug,” Davido remarked. He explained further, referencing a recent social media post that sparked discussions. “I posted something, and a lot of people were like, ‘But you smoke weed.’ Many people are going through so much of recent. The dr¥g is taking over. So, I want to donate to the cause. We need to help them quickly.”
