Davido reacted to a recent video of Desmond Elliot calling for the regulation of Social Media as it would divide the country.
Video of Desmond Elliot calling on the speaker of the Lagos state House of Assembly to do something about social media surfaced recently.
A Social media influencer, Dr. Olufunmilayo had stated that the Lagos State House of Assembly “is developing a bill to regulate and control speech on social media” and that Desmond Elliot “is said to be one of those pushing it.”
Desmond Elliot released a video denying this allegation. Dr Olufunmilayo hit back, asking Desmond Elliot to release evidence of what he truly said.
A video of Desmond’s statement at the House of Assembly has now been made public and it shows him calling on the speaker to do something about social media else Nigeria will not exist in 5 years.

He also blamed Social Media Influencers and Celebrities for inciting hate speech. Reacting to these videos, Davido who was clearly disappointed wrote via Twitter;
