    Davido responded after being designated an officer of the Nigerian Order (OON). The artist, who first announced the news on his social media accounts on May 27, has now officially published a video to celebrate the incredible height he has recently reached.

    Davido asserts that it is part of his long-standing aim to use his talent and platform to promote Nigeria to the entire globe and that he is really thrilled to have received such a distinction.

    He posted via his Twitter page to show his heart of gratitude to the FG and he captioned it ……!

    “Honored to hear the news that I have been conferred with an OON (Officer of the Order of Nigeria) by The Federal Government of Nigeria.

    I am grateful for this recognition and honour. It has always been my mission to use my platform to showcase our country – the passion, the resilience, the joy the culture and of course the struggles of our people. I do not take any of this for granted. We have one Nigeria and we will continue to do whatever we must to make it better!
