Nigerian superstar Davido has revealed plans to return to the classroom, announcing that he intends to pursue a master’s degree in political science in the United Kingdom next year.

The award-winning singer disclosed a recent livestream, where he spoke casually about his educational ambitions while interacting with fans online.
According to Davido, the postgraduate program will not be at Adeleke University, despite assumptions from some followers who believed he might choose the institution founded by his family.
“I want to do my Master’s next year,” he said.
When asked if the programme would be at Adeleke University, the singer replied: “No, in UK, a one-year course in Political science. I have my BSc already.”
Davido further explained that the program would follow the typical one-year structure common with many Master’s degrees in the UK.
The announcement has since sparked reactions online, with fans praising the singer for prioritising education despite his global success in music and business.
Beyond his chart dominance and international accolades, Davido has often spoken proudly about academics. In 2022, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in music from Adeleke University after previously studying business administration at Babcock University.
For many supporters, the latest revelation adds another layer to the artist’s public image, showing a side that continues to value personal growth alongside fame and entertainment success.
