DMW boss Davido has narrated how Wizkid paved way for him and other younger artists while they were still trying to find a voice in the Nigerian music scene.
Davido who might have cleared the air on the Davido-WIzkid superiority contest with this interview revealed that it was when he heard that Wizkid was singing that he and other younger artists found the courage to start coming out.
Davido who made gave this narration during a live session with DJ Ecool said:
All that was still going on then i came back again and they were like there is another guy again but this one is younger, girls love him, he is the new thing… when Wizkid came that was when we all the young young guys were like omo I’m doing this shit too bro and that Nigga came with some fire.
After making the revelation, DJ Ecool who was the one handling the interview session played Holl at your boy while Davido and he vibed to the Wizkid’s 2010 release.
