Davido, Lojay make Billboard’s 2024 Honor Roll for chart-topping songs
Nigerian music superstars Davido and Lojay have been recognized by Billboard for their chart-topping success, as both artists were recently named to the publication’s 2024 Honor Roll.
This recognition highlights the growing global influence of Afrobeats, particularly in the U.S., where Nigerian artists have achieved notable success on various *Billboard* charts.
Davido and Lojay were honored for their contributions to chart-topping records on the R&B and hip-hop charts between August 1, 2023, and July 31, 2024.
Their inclusion in the 2024 Billboard Honor Roll comes from Davido’s involvement in Chris Brown’s track “Sensational,” which hit No. 1 on the Adult R&B Airplay Chart.

Davido and Chris Brown have established a strong musical partnership over the years, collaborating on several tracks, including their latest song “Hmm” from Chris Brown’s 11th album, “11:11.” Chris Brown has also played a pivotal role in Afrobeats’ global expansion, working with Nigerian artists on notable projects. One of his standout collaborations with Lojay on the remix of *Monalisa* propelled the track to even greater commercial success.
Both Davido and Lojay have hinted at the possibility of new albums in 2024, with fans eagerly awaiting Lojay’s debut project. Many are also anticipating another Davido-Chris Brown collaboration, as Davido has teased that his upcoming album will be his best work yet.
