DMW boss David Adeleke popularly known as Davido has said that he shows off his wealth to motivate fans and followers to be successful.
Davido who recently released the music video for his 1 Milli track explained that the public display of his family’s wealth was to inspire people and to show the world that Africans were living okay contrary to the wrong notion that the western world has about Africans.
It WIll be recalled that Davido earlier this week shared a video of an aircraft newly acquired by his father.
Further revealing that his public show of wealth was not to oppress anybody Davido said:
“We’re not here to rub it in anybody’s face, we’re here to show motivation. Many kids write to me and tell me that I’m the reason they want to finish school, and projects, and become successful.
In America there are people who think we live in huts, sometimes I feel like I want to show them… We’re living the life, we’re going crazy, you feel me?
It has nothing to do with showing off or trying to oppress anybody. They oppress us enough.”
