Afrobeats superstar Davido has officially released his sixth studio album, ORIADÉ, marking a major milestone as he celebrates 15 years since launching his professional music career.
The 13-track project arrives as one of the singer’s most intentional bodies of work, blending personal reflection with an impressive mix of African and international collaborations.
Released on July 31, 2026, the album’s launch date carries special significance for the award-winning artist, commemorating exactly 15 years since his emergence on the music scene.
Rather than looking back, Davido uses ORIADÉ to reflect on purpose, growth, and the legacy he continues to build as one of Afrobeats’ biggest global ambassadors.
The album’s title draws its meaning from two Yoruba words, “Ori,” meaning destiny, and “Adé,” meaning crown, combining to form “ORIADÉ,” or “the crowned head.” The concept runs throughout the project, touching on themes of identity, faith, gratitude, brotherhood, ambition, and fulfilling one’s destiny.
Ahead of the release, Davido hinted at the album’s direction when he unveiled its cinematic teaser with the caption, “The kingdom expands. Chosen long before the throne.” That message now serves as the foundation of a project that presents the singer in a more focused creative space.

Unlike the expansive 5ive, which reached No. 2 on the Billboard World Albums chart in 2025, ORIADÉ takes a more concise approach. The album contains 13 tracks, making it the shortest project in Davido’s catalogue while maintaining a carefully curated listening experience.
The project opens with On the Road before moving into Amazing Grace featuring Ghanaian star Black Sherif. Previously released songs I Know Who I Be featuring South African producers JAZZWRLD and GL_Ceejay, alongside Gimme Dat Ting with NO11, also appear on the album.
Davido further broadens the project’s international appeal through collaborations with Mayorkun and FOLA on B4 B4, American R&B singer Leon Thomas on Tell Everybody, French-Malian superstar Aya Nakamura on Yaya, and fast-rising Nigerian artist Llona on My Light. The remaining solo records—Julie, Constantly, Already Falling, Zanzibar, and Guide allow the singer to showcase his versatility across different sounds and emotions.
With ORIADÉ, Davido enters another defining chapter of a career that has consistently shaped the global rise of Afrobeats. Combining introspective storytelling, carefully selected collaborations, and polished production, the album stands as both a celebration of how far he has come and a statement of where he intends to go next.
