Dave Announces First-Ever Lagos Headline Performances as World Tour Concludes in Nigeria

British-Nigerian rap superstar Dave has officially announced his first headline performances in Lagos, confirming two dates at the Wole Soyinka Center for Culture and Creative Arts (formerly the National Theatre) on October 16 and 17, 2026.
The announcement, made via his official X account, marks a significant moment in the career of the award-winning rapper and songwriter, whose Nigerian heritage has long been an important part of his identity and artistry.
The Lagos concerts will serve as the final stops on his globally acclaimed The Boy Who Played the Harp Tour, bringing a world tour that has spanned Europe, North America, Australia, and Africa to a close in one of the continent’s most influential cultural capitals.

Presented by Live Nation and MASSIVE, the highly anticipated performances are expected to be among the biggest international hip-hop events to take place in Nigeria this year.
For Lagos, the shows arrive at a time when the city continues to strengthen its reputation as a global entertainment hub. The concerts also coincide with the renewed prominence of the Wole Soyinka Center for Culture and Creative Arts, one of Nigeriaβs most historic cultural landmarks, which has become a focal point in the country’s evolving live-event landscape.
Long regarded as one of the most important voices in modern British music, Dave has built a career defined by critical acclaim, commercial success, and cultural impact. At just 27 years old, he has already become the first and only UK rap artist to debut three consecutive studio albums at No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart, while also collecting multiple BRIT Awards and an Ivor Novello Award.
For the British-Nigerian star, whose parents are Nigerian, the Lagos dates carry a deeper significance beyond music. The performances represent a homecoming of sorts, allowing Nigerian fans to experience his live show in person for the first time.
The Lagos concerts follow a series of major tour stops around the world, including festival appearances in Europe and previously announced dates in South Africa, where his Cape Town performance at the Grand Arena has already sold out.
