Popular Nigerian singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido has gone ahead to perform at a club in Ibadan that has over 50 persons present despite call for social distancing.
Davido who was supposed to be lending a voice to help curb a viral spread of deadly coronavirus might not have taken the best decision to perform at the country’s largest city on Saturday.
Davido who was first sighted at a wedding in the country’s largest city was later reported to have performed at a club with over 50 people in attendance.
Though there was no official ban placed on public gathering in the state, however, it was expected for the DMW boss to halt every event just like he halted his North America’s #AGT tour.
With Oyo state having a confirmed case of #COVID19, Governor Seyi Makinde and Oyo State lawmakers should be preparing to put in place strict measures to curb the spread.
The Nigerian Center for Disease Control has so far confirmed 36 cases of #COVID19 virus in Nigeria with Lagos having the highest cases, Oyo state has so far recorded only one case.
